Tallahassee Travels, aka: Where to Eat in Tallahassee.

Paul and I took a trip to Tallahassee in mid-December to visit family and get some errands done! Elizabeth was in the middle of putting up Christmas decorations, so I helped out a bit with that, and we finished up with some amazing wine.
(Disregard the misshapen wreath... it looks much better in bokeh!)
But if we're being honest, this trip seemed to be all about the food. So here are some of our favorite places to eat in Tallahassee!

Waffle House

It's so bad for you, but so, so good to eat. We know that Waffle House isn't exclusive to Tallahassee, but there isn't a Waffle House in our current town. This particular Waffle House was right around the corner from our Tallahassee house. We miss it dearly. Many late nights were spent eating cheap but delicious greasy food. The photos above were taken at about 3am, and it was still busy!

El Jaliscos-Kerry Forest

We love this place. There's also an El Jaliscos on Monroe Street, but that one is always ridiculously loud/obnoxious and full of college students. The Kerry Forest location is wonderful. We normally share a pitcher of maragaritas and fill up on amazing Mexican food, bemoaning our stuffed bellies later on.
The Crepevine

The Crepevine is located in Midtown Tallahassee, down the road from where we used to live. There are sweet as well as savory crepes, and they are ALL delicious. Paul and I used to stop there in the morning for their breakfast crepes.. YUM. If you ever find yourself in Tallahassee, you must stop here!
New Leaf Market

It's not technically a restaurant, but it sure is delicious. New Leaf is the local co-op and natural foods store. Paul and I would stop in multiple times a week for groceries, and sometimes just stop to get their yummy macaroni salad. It's a great place!

This post really makes me miss Tallahassee. We're very lucky to have family there, so that we can visit often! ♥
