Morning. We're actually in St. Augustine, unlike what my widget says. Perfect weather!
We've just moved into our new place, so things are still a little bare. Here's some bedhead.
I go in search of my glasses, since I am virtually blind otherwise.
No need for the air to be on now. I switch it off...
I go sit outside on our new porch. I love everything about this place!
Drink my coffee.
My view to the right. I'm thinking these are old beach bungalows, since there are so many of this style in the area.
As much as she would love to come out, Lily is not allowed outside.
My morning routine: coffee, then ipad time.
This is where it gets tough. I recently applied for a full time position at a different branch of the library system I work in. I finally get the call, and they decided to go with someone else. I'm quite upset. :( Looking back, it turned out for the best.
After some cuddles and talking, Paul makes me a delicious breakfast.
His sister calls, very concerned about me. She talks me up, and I'm feeling a little better.
The only photo of Paul this early, and the remnants of breakfast. I promise the soda wasn't included in that.
I take a shower. Steam makes everything better.
I love these new towels.. soft, squishy, perfect.
Still not feeling great, but at least I'm clean?
Put my rings back on. I still love looking at them. :)
I get dressed for our shopping trip.
Still have the car kitty.
Paul takes photos as we drive over the bridge...yeah, we still haven't washed off the writing from our wedding, ack. You'll see several bridges today, since we live on an island.
Our destination: COSTCO. Our first trip since moving.
Hello, buying in bulk. We love this veggie sausage.
Our completed cart. Costco is amazing.
Costco churro. We get one every trip...they are huge and delicious.
Just passed 100,000 miles, and it's hottttt outside. I regret my choice of jeans.
Drive by the Castillo de San Marcos on the way home.
Over the Bridge of Lions, where this ship is a common sight.
And we're home. We walk down the street to check the mail.
Love the old mailboxes, even if they're falling apart.
I'm on the phone with my mom as I get ready for work. Break the news about the job to her, and she says "**** them! They don't know what they're missing!" Thanks, Mama. :)
Talk to Paul in bed while he plays phone games.
A better photo of Lily. It's difficult getting photos of black cats.
Back in the (dirty) car, with Paul driving.
View over the bridge (#3).
Paul drops me off at the library.
Talk to Laura via about my library's Teen Coffeehouse. She'll be speaking later from Scotland!
My very disorganized and very pink desk. I promise it's loads better now.
I put the final touches on our summer board. We take the month of May off for planning, so this is up rather early. I'm quite proud of it!
Laura gives a reading of her novel, Pantomime, and talks to the teens about writing.
They also share their work with her.
After the program, I set up this whiteboard with magnetic poetry words. April is National Poetry Month, after all.
Oh, here's my library. There's a huge wall of windows to the left. I probably should have included that.
Outside the library, around 8 o'clock. It's gorgeous here.
Another bridge. The fourth today!
We're home. I put my shoes up and notice how badly they're fraying. They are my favorite, so I'm sad.
We have a mix of leftovers for dinner... homemade fried rice and soup. It was good!
Still need a bed frame, but we've got the headboard and footboard.
Take my hair down. The lady who cut my hair last took off way too much. :(
Had this song stuck in my head. The video...is not great. The song isn't that great, honestly, but it gets stuck in my head.
Do some reading.. great biography about Shakespeare, though it's mainly about how little we actually know about him.
Distracted by husband watching Metalocalypse. Messed up, but hilarious.
I finish the night with some homework before falling asleep on the couch again. Paul, the sweet husband that he is, eventually moves me to the bed. This happens a lot.
I have a Blog Giveaway if you are interested :)
