We took our
mini-moon right after our wedding, planning on taking a proper honeymoon after things quieted down and I'd finished school. Thanks to a wonderful friend, we were able to save our money and get into Disney for free for three days!
The day after graduation, we woke up extremely early and made the trek from Tallahassee to Orlando. After checking in at our hotel (Port Orleans French Quarter--loved it!) and receiving our "Happily Ever After" honeymoon buttons, our first stop was Epcot.
The Land
One of my unexpected favorites of the trip was Epcot's
The Land. It was a beautiful place, and the trip through the greenhouse in "Living with the Land" was amazing. I really enjoyed learning about the horticulture research taking place, and it was all ridiculously gorgeous.
Mexico
Since the first day of our visit was on Cinco de Mayo, we made sure to spend some time in
Mexico. The speciality margaritas were delicious. I got the passion fruit margarita, while Paul got the jalapeno cucumber margarita. I liked mine, but his was perfectly refreshing.
Norway
China
Germany
Italy
Japan
Morocco
Morocco was my personal favorite of the World Showcase, largely because of the food! Paul and I both love falafel, and everything was delicious here. The style was also amazing, with all of the colors and patterns. I may try to infuse some of that into our home.
France
United Kingdom
Flower & Garden Festival
Since we planned our Disney trip during the Spring, Epcot's Flower & Garden Festival was taking place. It was so beautiful! The topiary sculptures of the characters were crazy--I wish I'd gotten more photos of them!
At this point, we went back to the hotel for a bit before heading out for dinner and Magic Hours. I'll include those photos in a separate post, as this one is getting pretty crazy already! :)
